The popular Amazon Prime Video superhero series, The Boys, is soon to have a collaboration with none other than Call of Duty. Season 4's midseason update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will introduce Black Noir, a prominent character from The Boys for the show's first three seasons. Joining Black Noir from The boys will be Starlight and Homelander.

The midseason update for Modern Warfare 2 kicks off on July 12 and is part of a larger Season 4 Reloaded update for the game. Each of the three characters will be sold in bundles that cost 2,400 Call of Duty Points each. The bundles include the player characters, weapon charms, a finishing move, loading screens, weapon stickers, and emblems.

The first Operator Bundle featuring a character from The Boys will be Starlight's, which is out on July 12th. Homelander's bundle will hit the in-game store on July 16th, with Black Noir's bundle hitting on July 20th.

Black Noir's skin is already drawing some ire from players given that the skin is all black. In years prior, all black skins released for Call of Duty were quickly dubbed "pay to win" by the community given how difficult they were to see in dark or shadowy areas of maps. Activision and its studios did eventually rectify most of these "pay to win" skins by adding some high visibility components. It remains to be seen if Activision will have the freedom to make any sort of adjustments to Black Noir's skin given that it's part of this crossover content.
