Call of Duty: Vanguard will be released on November 5, 2021, which is just four short days away now. We knew that the install size for Vanguard would be "up to 50% smaller" than prior releases, but it wasn't until today that we get a much clearer picture as to what that actually means.
Activision pushed out a new blog post that details the PC system requirements for Call of Duty: Vanguard. For the absolute bare minimum, you're going to need 36GB at launch for the game, which honestly isn't too bad. Of course, this size is just for the multiplayer and Zombies components only and does not include an install of the single-player campaign.
From there, the size jumps up to 61GB at launch for the campaign, multiplayer, and Zombies. If you want to get the optional "Hi-Rez assets" you will need another 32GB to 64GB of storage space on top of the 61GB.
Activision breaks down the system requirements into four tiers: Minimum, recommended, competitive, and Ultra RTX. Unfortunately, the company stopped just short of saying what framerates and resolutions they were targeting for all four tiers, with the exception of the "Ultra RTX" tier.
MINIMUM The minimum specs needed to play Call of Duty: Vanguard |
RECOMMENDED The recommended specs to run at 60FPS in most situations with all options set to high |
COMPETITIVE The competitive specs to run at a high FPS for use with a high refresh monitor |
ULTRA RTX The ultra specs to run the game at a high FPS in 4K resolution |

If you are already planning on picking up the game, or have pre-purchased it already, you will be happy to hear that pre-loading begins on November 2 at 10AM (PT) for PC. A new trailer for Vanguard, which focuses on the PC release, was also released today. You can (hopefully) find it embedded below so long as YouTube doesn't block it for whatever reason.
