DICE has finally provided the roadmap for Battlefield V through Fall 2019. Included in this roadmap are mentions of new maps, which look to begin in May, and a new theater of war. Given the name of the new theater, Awakening the Giant, slated for Fall 2019, is the upcoming theater of war.

Battlefield 5 'Firestorm' Battle Royale Reveal Trailer and First Details
The upcoming battle royale mode for Battlefield 5 was finally revealed today thanks to an all-new trailer. The trailer doesn't show actual gameplay, but it does offer an "in-engine" look at some of the antics you and your crew will get up to.
I suppose I should preface this by saying Firestorm is the name of this new mode. It's slated to be added to Battlefield 5, free of charge to everyone that owns the game, on March 25.

DICE Buffs Shotguns in March 5 Update for Battlefield 5
DICE has already provided the patch notes for the Battlefield V update that is scheduled to be released on Tuesday, March 5. This is "Update #4" for Battlefield V Tides of War Chapter 2: Lightning Strikes. Yeah, their naming conventions on these updates are a bit annoying, I agree.

Battlefield 5 Adds Combined Arms Co-op, Balancing, and More in Tomorrow's Update
A patch that is tentatively slated to be released tomorrow, February 12, will add in some new content and features for Battlefield 5 players. Some of these new features include a four-player co-op game mode called Combined Arms. The update will also add in DLSS support and better RTX support for those using supported cards.

The release for Battlefield 5 is here!... Again!... For the fourth time!
It's November 20th which means it's time for Battlefield 5 Standard Edition to be released. This comes after the Deluxe Edition was released on November 15, which came after the Origin Access Premier release on November 9th, which came on the same day as the Origin Access and EA Access early release that allowed you to play for 10 hours.

Battlefield V Battle Royale Mode Won't Be Out Until March 2019
According to the just released Battlefield V roadmap, the battle royale mode for the game won't be released until at least March 2019. Talk about just handing the "W" to Treyarch and Activision with their Blackout mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. By the time March rolls around, Blackout will have had a solid five months to be refined and handle customer feedback.

Battlefield 1 Premium Pass Will Be Free for One Week Following Battlefield V Open Beta
We already know that Battlefield V will not have any Premium Pass to bump up the cost of the game. All future content for the game, save for probably cosmetics, will be free so long as you at least own the base game. That's pretty neat.

Battlefield V Delayed Until November; Beta Still on Track
EA and DICE just announced that they have pushed back the release date for Battlefield V until November 20, 2018. This places the release at a period that's about one month after its originally planned October 19 release date.
