Crime Boss: Rockay City Steam Review

A decent payday.

INGAME Studios has been hard at work since Crime Boss: Rockay City was released in March 2023. The game reviewed rather poorly during its 2023 debut and you can tell INGAME took the player and reviewer criticisms to heart. Since that release, the studio has released several major updates for Crime Boss ahead of its June 18, 2024 release on Steam. Crime Boss initially appears to outsiders as a game much akin to the Payday titles. That is, you would think that it's a...

Band Together in Terror: The Outlast Trials Review

The Outlast Trials proves that survival horror can be more fun with friends.

The Outlast Trials is a four-player PvE game taking place in the Cold War era. The game's opening moments and lore paint a gruesome and wicked scene that will be familiar to series veterans but disquieting to those new to the Outlast universe. Players work their way through a series of experiments, each of which plays out on various large maps like a police station, a courthouse, a carnival, and more. The g...

  • The Next Battlefield 5 Chapter to be Revealed Tomorrow

The Next Battlefield 5 Chapter to be Revealed Tomorrow

    We're still in the Pacific.

EA and DICE announced today that they will reveal the sixth chapter in their ever ongoing Tides of War content for Battlefield V. This new chapter is appropriately called Into the Jungle and it takes us, you guessed it, into some dense jungle environments. Well, there's at least one dense jungle environment.

There's no saying how many new maps this next chapter will actually bring, though certain wording in official statements seem to indicate...

Private Matches for Battlefield V Finally Arrive Next Week

But they won't be called Private Matches.

DICE announced that their planned Private Matches feature is finally coming to Battlefield V. It will arrive on all platforms on December 9, but they won't be called Private Matches. Instead, DICE is calling them Community Games.

I can only imagine that the Battlefield V community is having some very mixed feelings right about now. There are probably wars being waged right now on Battlefield forums and subreddits between those...

  • DICE Nerfed the TTK Yet Again in Battlefield V

DICE Nerfed the TTK Yet Again in Battlefield V

Almost one year later and DICE is repeating the same exact mistakes.

Back on December 12, 2018, DICE decided to adjust the TTK (Time To Kill) for weapons in Battlefield V. A lot of the changes made weapons a fair bit less effective at actually taking out enemies. DICE said that they found that their "wider player base was dying too fast." That is to say, the shorter TTK wasn't too friendly for new players. To say that the core Battlefield community hated the changes is probably...

With it will come two new maps, two new factions, new weapons, new vehicles, new Elites, and new chapter rewards.

New Overview for Operation Underground Map for Battlefield V

DICE provides a fresh look at an old favorite.

DICE is set to release the Operation Underground map for Battlefield V very soon. In fact, it may actually be released this week. Operation Underground is essentially a Battlefield V take on Operation Metro from Battlefield 3. It was first announced back in June during EA's E3 event.

This week, a new preview for the map provides us with a new trailer. We learn that the original designer of Operation Metro was also the lead...

DICE Cancels Competitive Mode for Battlefield V

A 5v5 competitive game mode never quite got off the ground.

DICE has officially cancelled its previously announced 5v5 competitive mode for Battlefield V. The company says that they made this decision after turning their attention more to "improving the quality of the experience and adding more of the content you want." Despite neither of these two things happening in quite some time, the decision has been made and those looking for a small-scale war are left looking elsewhere....

Battlefield V Patch 4.2.2 Coming Tonight - More Crash Issues Fixed

Update starts rolling out at 1AM.

DICE just released the details for the forthcoming 4.2.2 update coming tonight to Battlefield V. This update will be for all platforms. On the PC it will weigh in at about 800MB and on the Xbox One it will be roughly 50MB. Those on the PlayStation 4 will apparently just have to roll the dice on how big their update will be.

As of right now, the update will begin rolling out at 1AM (PT) beginning with the PC. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One...

The Shortlist that is the Battlefield V Update 4.2 Patch Notes

    Ouch.

DICE finally revealed the patch notes for Update 4.2, which is slated to hit Battlefield V tomorrow (Thursday, July 25) starting at 1AM (PT) with the PC update. PS4 and XB1 updates will follow at 2AM and 3AM respectively. On the plus side, they say that they have fixes that target "extreme instances of invisible soldiers." On the other hand, the total number of changes can be counted on just two hands.

For a fairly major update, this seems to be rather...

DICE Pushes Back Battlefield V Marita Map to Next Week

Two updates coming over the next week.

DICE again took to Reddit to explain just what is going on with Battlefield V. Well, they didn't get into too many details, but they did share some bits of information that we should probably know about.

First up, DICE is planning to release the 4.2 update this Thursday. This update will be for both clients and servers. However, no actual changelog has been shared yet. Maybe it'll include the fix for the invisible soldiers that has...

Battlefield V Chapter 4 Hotfix 1.1 Update Addresses Poor Hit Registration

    Invisibility bug still remains.

DICE will release a hotfix patch for Battlefield V Chapter 4 tomorrow. This comes roughly a week after a fairly disastrous update introduced a number of game breaking bugs to the game.

While this update may not fix all of the top issues introduced in that last patch, it does tackle a few of them. It must be stated that today's update does not address the issue of invisible character models. This issue, introduced in the last update, is still...

Game Breaking Battlefield V Bugs Still Not Fixed

No solid ETA on when they will be either.

If you have played Battlefield V from the beginning, you will probably agree that the game is fun but it's not without its flaws. In fact, it seems as though with every patch released for the game, there are almost as many new bugs added as there are ones that are squished in each patch.

The latest patch released for the game, which came about just last week, is no exception to that rule. First off, the beginning of Chapter 4 for...

Outpost Mode Now Live as Latest Weekly Battlefield V Mode

This mode places a larger emphasis on teamwork and building, not murder.

DICE released the latest weekly game mode for Battlefield V earlier today. It's called Outpost and it will be live from today through to next week. It is a 64-player game type playable on Arras and Mercury. The basic idea behind this mode isn't necessarily about killing, but rather on building up, upgrading, destroying, and controlling radio towers.

Teams will win when they beat the enemy to reaching...
