Forefront is a brand-new large-scale VR shooter that supports up to 32-player battles. Today, the 1.0 release of Forefront arrives on SteamVR, Meta Quest, and Pico for $27.99. A PlayStation VR2 release is planned for later this year.
I've seen Forefront described as a Battlefield VR clone, though I don't know how accurate that actually is. The game does feature 16v16 battles in levels that are semi-destructible. The fight is between a global energy giant and resistance forces. There are four classes to choose from, each with their own specialized weapons, attachments, and gadgets that you can level up. There are also a variety of vehicles that will aid your traversal over land, sea, and air.
The 1.0 launch today adds several visual upgrades for those on SteamVR. These improvements include dynamic lighting and real-time shadows. There are also new community requested features like physical controls for helicopters.
