The Early Access launch of Windrose happened today. This is a co-op pirate game with a focus on survival and adventure in equal parts. The Early Access release is available starting at $29.99 through Steam, Epic, and some storefront called Stove.
A Supporter Bundle is also available for purchase for $39.99. The Supporter Bundle includes the base game, a wallpaper collection, and the official game soundtrack. There will also be a 10% launch week discount available for either the base version or the Supporter Bundle version.
Windrose was apparently the new hotness during a recent Steam Next Fest. If you don't know about it, the game allows you to "become the pirate of your dreams, sailing the open seas as a captain on (a) request for revenge." Players can either go at it solo or play as a crew as up to four players.
Explore three diverse biomes with quests to complete, enemies to fight in souls-lite-inspired combat, and handcrafted points of interest to discover in a procedurally generated world. Take down epic bosses with an armory of unique weapons, including sabers, maces, muskets and more. Improve your reputation with various factions, trade, farm, fish and build a pirate haven of your own – and command your own vessel in thrilling naval battles with boarding actions.
