Playstack and Cold Symmetry released a big ol' gameplay video for Mortal Shell 2 today. This new gameplay reveal includes about a dozen (that's 12) minutes of footage. You get a look at three of the game's Shells, combat, traversal, and exploration.
The Shells shown off in the video include: Tiel the Acolyte, Eredrim the Venerable, and Proxima the Broodseeker. Each has a unique approach to combat.
You also get a look at "the local cultures of monstrosities who zealously guard each path."
Today's gameplay footage is the first official look at Mortal Shell 2 since the game was first announced during Summer Game Fest 2025. Mortal Shell 2 is looking to be released in late 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
Publisher Playstack also today announces MORTAL SHELL II: REVERED EDITION, a special collector’s physical version for PlayStation 5 only, featuring a comprehensive Artbook, Exclusive Steelbook, Limited Edition Fine Art Prints, all presented in a special Collector’s Box.
Pre-orders for MORTAL SHELL II: REVERED EDITION are now live in participating retailers, along with pre-orders for the standard physical edition. Those who pre-order will receive two exclusive Harbinger skins (Obsidian Harbinger and Skeletal Harbinger).
