And welcome to the jam!
Bungie passes along a nice little reminder that the Server Slam event for Marathon kicks off tomorrow, February 26. This Server Slam event will need as many players as possible stress testing the Marathon game servers so that Bungie can make any last minute adjustments prior to Marathon's full release on March 5.
The Marathon Server Slam runs from February 26 at 10 AM PT through to March 2. This is also a good opportunity to try out Marathon for free before it's officially released. The Server Slam does not require either PlayStation Plus nor Xbox Game Pass if you're playing on consoles.
The Server Slam content will not contain all content from the game. It will include a limited selection of maps, Runner shells, and contracts. There will be more maps, factions, contracts, gear, and more when the game launches and Season 1 begins.
Several different rewards can be earned during the Server Slam. You can earn rewards for the full game either through playing or by watching streams through Twitch and earning Drops.
In case you missed it, Bungie also recently shared a new video focused on the Music of Marathon. You can check out that behind the scenes video below, along with a handful of screens for Marathon.
