A new update for MindsEye was released today from developer Build a Rocket Boy (or what's left of them). The studio says that they have taken player and media feedback and has released an update that they hope will start to address many of those concerns.
The big comeback apparently begins today with the release of a new update that Build a Rocket Boy claims is the "most significant post-launch update yet." This update allegedly achieves "the studio's vision for quality and setting the stage for exciting future content updates." This "Update 7" for MindsEye is available now for all platforms where MindsEye is available and serves "as a reset for the brand and title in 2026."
They continue on to hype up the update, saying that it "is the culmination of months of work since the game's initial launch in June 2025." It continues to say that the update "marks the perfect point for players to revisit or try the riveting experience for the first time." This update "focuses on smoothing campaign flow, making objectives easier to follow, enhancing AI behavior, and much more."
Don't you worry Deluxe Edition owners, there's a little something extra for you in this update. You will get access to the Silva E-Series, which is "a full street circuit city-center race in Redrock" that is "now staged as a big-event street race with grandstands, barriers, and NPC spectators."
The full patch notes are at the MindsEye website. I'd link them directly but their site doesn't let you. I'll just put them at the end of this article anyway. Before that though, there is just one more little nugget of gold to share with you.
Build a Rocgket Boy says that they will provide an outline for the future of MindsEye. This roadmap will be shared "within the coming months." Included in those future plans is "a new expansion that adds end-game content and enhanced world exploration." In addition, there will also be "a multiplayer mode in MindsEye's Arcadia system, mode, hub thing.
An expansion AND multiplayer? Gamers, we are truly blessed. Anyway, here's that changelog for MindsEye's "most significant post-launch update yet."
