A new extraction shooter has just hit Steam Early Access. The Midnight Walkers is now available through Steam Early Access and it combines zombie slaying with elements of an extraction shooter.
Players are locked inside of an "enormous multifloor megacomplex during a zombie outbreak." You will be "forced into a deadly game of survival by the megalomaniac Mr. Nobody." You will fight off not only plenty of the undead, but also other players.
Like most extraction shooters, this is a PvPvE title. Players will have to hunt down and secure loot and gear across several floors of this complex. Tools of destruction include sledgehammers, bows, katanas, and pistols. As each game progresses, a gas starts to spread that will force players to flee to new floors via the use of stairs or elevators. A round ends when you extract successfully or when you die. You know, like most extraction shooters.
Over time, the Early Access releasee of The Midnight Walkers will see new weapons and floors added. There will also be "an entirely unique PvE mode" added later in 2026.
The Midnight Walkers is usually $19.99 but there is apparently an Early Access launch discount that brings the price down to $15.99 until February 11th.
