A release window for Aether & Iron was just shared today from Seismic Squirrel. This new narrative-driven RPG is expected to arrive on Steam this spring.
Gia is a smuggler that is "navigating the dangerous underworld of an alternate 1930s New York City. Players will take control over Gia as they engage in turn-based vehicular combat and experience a story written by some of those that worked on games like Mass Effect, Far Cry, and Sovereign Syndicate.
This alternate history New York City may be the real standout feature of the game though. This version of the Big Apple was transformed into a vertical city after the world discovered something called "aether." This aether is a key component used for anti-gravitational technologies.
Throughout Aether & Iron, players will be able to customize and upgrade their aether-powered vehicles with various weapons and armor. You will also be able to recruit companions to aid you, with each of them coming with various talents and abilities.
