Steelkrill Studio just announced The 18th Attic. This is an upcoming psychological horror game that was inspired by Fatal Frame. The 18th Attic is out on February 2, 2026 through Steam, GOG, and Epic.
The 18th Attic is a psychological horror game set in a nightmarish, looping attic where players uncover the truth by photographing ghosts and supernatural anomalies with a Polaroid camera. When players are attacked or overwhelmed by fear, their sanity fades, leaving them increasingly vulnerable to more attacks. The only way to restore sanity is by petting your cat companion, offering a brief moment of comfort amid the horror.
