VirtuaCon was announced for December 20-21. This digital convention says it will celebrate "digital creators and streamers" and will feature livestreams by some of your favorite creators.
The convention is put together by Ark Events and WePlay along with several creators and VTuber talent. The goal of VirtuaCon is to "celebrate the culture of digital creation, connect communities through panels and concerts, and give back to causes through charity fundraising."
That's right, VirtuaCon isn't just being held to celebrate VTubers. The event will be raising funds for the Immune Deficiency Foundation (IDF). The IDF was founded in 1980 to "provide resources and aid to individuals living with primary immunodeficiency."
VirtuaCon will be completely free to "attend" for anybody interested. As this event is completely digital, this means you will be able to enjoy the convention watching various streams while being snug and cozy at home. The two-day event will celebrate not just VTubers, but also digital creators, and streamers.
You can check out a livestream of VirtuaCon through the VirtuaCon Twitch channel, as well as the channels of various notable talent that have been invited:FeFe shared her thoughts about what it means to be a part of the first ever VirtuaCon:
Super excited to be a part of VirtuaCon! Bringing the VTuber community to support the Immune Deficiency Foundation! I'm looking forward to raising money through gaming and friendship to help those in need!

Update as of December 19, 2026 at 10:50 AM ET: It has come to my attention that the organizers of the event may have been less than honest and forthcoming with information to the press, the public, and to the talent that was scheduled to attend VirtuaCon. I do not know the specifics, but from what little I've been able to gather, there are concerns that the organizers are heavily involved in the use of generative AI, NFTs, and crypto. There are also concerns that money raised during the event would, in fact, not fully (if at all) go towards charity as suggested but would instead be used by the organizers to further fund their NFT and crypto ventures.
Most, if not all, of the talent mentioned above have since pulled out of the event entirely. It appears as though information about VirtuaCon and the organizers only came to light very recently.
I have removed links to the event's website and Twitch but have kept links live for the talent.
