  • Assassin's Creed Black Flag Remake Reportedly Coming Early Next Year

Maybe it will do away with the awful ship tailing missions.

According to a new report from Insider Gaming, the oft-rumored Assassin's Creed Black Flag remake will launch before March 31, 2026. This Black Flag remake has not been officially announced in any capacity but it has been heavily implied to be in development for quite some time now.

Insider Gaming says that they feel confident that the Black Flag remake will drop by March 31, 2026 because of something shared during Ubisoft's recent earnings call. During their presentation, Ubisoft shared that one "unannounced game" will be released before the end of the company's fiscal year ending March 31, 2026.

Furthermore, Insider Gaming's own sources suggest that this "unannounced game" is scheduled to release the week of March 23rd.

This is the latest in a series of articles put up about the rumored Black Flag remake from Insider Gaming. In October 2024, the outlet was privately sent gameplay footage from the alleged remake that shows the game's main protagonist, Edward Kenway, sailing his ship on an updated and upgraded version of the Anvil Engine used by Ubisoft. The outlet also heard from one leaker that the Black Flag remake would be "more 'RPG heavy'."

If Assassin's Creed Black Flag Remake and its alleged release date are indeed real, we may soon get an announcement from Ubisoft. Perhaps we may even see it announced at The Game Awards 2025. Who can say for sure?
