    No funny business.

It's been a little while since we had a NewsBits here and I figure we were about due. That, and I had a bunch of emails that I simply did not want to write numerous, separate stories for. This one will be a boring, by the numbers NewsBits. There will be no funny business here. No laughs. No guffaws. And there certainly won't be any cackles.

    New Releases and Demos

    • A new "bullet heaven" (think Vampire Survivors) was released today. It's called Wildkeepers Rising. Look for it on consoles and Steam.
    • Dark Quest 4 brings more dungeon crawling to consoles and Steam today.
    • Get half naked and battle strong gladiators, and then do the same in Bloodgrounds. Now available in Early Access.
    • Dice + deck building + dogs all fuse together in Dog Witch, now available on Steam.
    • Nature is a new game based on a popular board game based on that thing outside of your computer room that you never experience. It's out now on Steam.
    • Build and run your own cozy little village with today's Early Access release of Ages of Cataria.
    • A demo for Pluto is out now, offering 40 minutes of a journey through cursed crypts, player-crafted spells, and hand-drawn visuals.
    • The RTS x roguelite game, Wartorn, isn't out now but will be on November 11th.
    • Relive the 80s exactly as they were, as an isometric-RPG, when Kingdom of Night hits Steam and other PC storefronts on December 2nd.
    • The Falconeer: Revolution Remaster is out now on Steam, offering a reimagined take on the BAFTA-nominated original. A free update for existing owners.
    • A new "party-building roguelike auto-battler" sequel to Vivid Knight, Vivid World, is out now on Steam.
    • A public playtest for SunderBound, a co-op top-down shooter, is now live.
    • Solve puzzles with a pal with Biped 2, now available on Steam, GOG, Epic, and consoles.
    • A new trailer for Death Howl was released. This one is a "soulslike deck-builder."
    • A new trailer for Total Reload was also released. In this players will help an AI named HAWKING to "reload the Universe." It's out on November 7th.

    Handheld PC stuff

    • Steam Deck will now let all active downloads complete in a new display-off low-power mode before going to sleep.
    • PS Portal can now stream select PlayStation 5 games directly from the cloud, but only if you have PS Plus Premium.

Least we got to see what the original art looked like. YouTube channel LegalEagle does comment on Mizkif and how unlikely things will go. And finally, seeing "AI" instantly triggered me and made me angry without bothering to read the actual context. I hate the timeline I'm in. But I do miss NewsBits and will gladly read them all.
