Marvel Rivals is getting into the Halloween spirit when a special PvE Zombies mode arrives on October 23rd. This mode is inspired by the Marvel Zombies animated series.
The official Marvel Rivals socials shared a short developer update with fans that shares a look at this limited-time mode. Executive producer at Marvel Games, Danny Koo, talks about the upcoming PvE Zombies mode in a new video.
This mode gives players access to a selection of just five playable characters: Thor, Blade, Magik, Jeff, and The Punisher. These five will square off against hordes of zombies and attempting to survive long enough to face off against two bosses: Zombie Namor and Queen of the Dead.
The five heroes will have some new tricks up their sleeves (or fins) to help in the fight against the undead. Jeff will be able to charge through enemies. Blade will have bouncing Moon Blades. Thor will have a persistent Awakened state. Magik will have an unlimited Darkchild form. While not stated, it looks like The Punisher will be able to turn his usual manned turret into an automated turret.
Season 4.5 is currently live in Marvel Rivals. Season 5 is expected to begin on November 14. Season 5 is expected to bring both Gambit and Rogue in as playable characters.
