Publisher Bilibili Game and developer Team Soda today announced the official launch of Escape From Duckov. The single-player extraction shooter is now available for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, and for Mac on the Mac App Store.
Building on the massive success of its demo, which became one of the most-played on Steam, Escape From Duckov waddles onto the scene with a unique premise. Players take on the role of a customizable duck trapped on a mysterious, egg-shaped world that is slowly crumbling. The only way out is to venture into dangerous, procedurally generated zones to scavenge for loot, defeat cartoonish enemies, and gather the resources needed to build a rocket ship and escape planetary doom.
Unlike the often punishing nature of multiplayer tactical shooters, Escape From Duckov offers a more accessible yet still challenging top-down PvE experience. The game blends the extraction shooter gameplay loop (enter a map, gather valuable items, and try to get out alive) with whimsical art, fog-of-war mechanics, and a highly replayable structure.
