A Life is Strange TV series is confirmed to be at a very early stage of production via Amazon Prime Video. This will bring the world of Life is Strange, one of them at least, to Prime Video subscribers in the future. The show is being written by Charlie Covell. Covell will also serve as executive producer and showrunner.
Covell is best known for their writing work on The End of the F***ing World. According to Variety, Covell will be joined by Dmitri M. Johnson, Mike Goldberg, and Timothy I. Stevenson, who will all be executive producers on the show under the Story Kitchen moniker. Life is Strange will be from Square Enix, Story Kitchen, and LuckyChap, with Amazon MGM Studios producing.
Variety says the story of the show will at least loosely follow the events of the first Life is Strange game from 2015. Oh good! Surely the ending to this TV series will not at all be divisive.
Per the official logline, the story follows Max, “a photography student, who discovers she can rewind time while saving the life of her childhood best friend, Chloe. As she struggles to understand this new skill, the pair investigate the mysterious disappearance of a fellow student, uncovering a dark side to their town that will ultimately force them to make an impossible life or death choice that will impact them forever.”

Today's news comes just a day after it was announced that Sophie Turner will play Lara Croft in Prime Video's Tomb Raider series. Other adaptations that are in some stage of production include a Wolfenstein series, Mass Effect series, God of War Series, and apparently there's another Street Fighter movie coming.
