On November 20, 2025, exactly one year after its release on PC and Xbox, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will get a release on PlayStation 5. This release will feature various PS5 exclusive features, mainly for the DualSense and PlayStation 5 Pro.
All PlayStation 5 players of Stalker 2 will get DualSense features. These include adaptive triggers, haptic feedback, gyro aiming, Tempest 3D Audio, and use of the controller's speakers, lightbar, and touchpad gestures.
PlayStation 5 Pro features include improved shadow quality and resolution, enhanced global illumination, higher quality reflections, improved volumetric fog, and enhanced volumetric cloud rendering. Interestingly, they don't say that the Pro version runs at a higher resolution or framerate compared to the base PS5.
You can pre-order Stalker 2 for PS5 right now. The base Standard version starts at just $59.99. All pre-orders include a new weapon skin and costume skins. A physical release of the Standard Edition will also be available at launch. There will be additional collector's boxes released later in 2026 for those looking for extra physical goodies.
