Something for everyone.
A new report out of XboxEra confirms at least one Resident Evil Requiem detail everyone had a question about: Whether or not the game would be a first-person game or a third-person game.
The report from XboxEra details a 30-minute long demo that they were shown during a private presentation from Capcom. The outlet was shown various gameplay elements, including mention on how some segments began in a first-person view and then transitioned into a third-person view. They also note that it would be up to the player on if they were playing in first-person or third-person perspective.
XboxEra's report also mentioned a second playable character. XboxEra did not say who that other playable character was, only that it was a familiar character that will be able to use a large variety of weapons. It's long been rumored that the other playable character in this new Resident Evil is Leon S. Kennedy. However, this information still remains unconfirmed.
Resident Evil Requiem is slated for release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on February 27, 2026. The screenshots included in this article were new images shared via XboxEra.

In the 25 years since, developer Capcom released a fair number of new entries to the franchise, including some spin-offs, and even a couple of remakes. Today, we will take a look at the best of the mainline franchise releases and determine which...-

Capcom shared a new trailer for Resident Evil Requiem during The Game Awards last night. The trailer confirms one long-running rumor about the game: Leon S. Kennedy is a second playable protagonist alongside Grace Ashcroft. Kennedy will join Grace Ashcroft as they "investigate a series of strange deaths that may just lead to uncovering the hidden truth behind the infamous 1998 Raccoon City incident."
The dual protagonists will focus...-
