Hazelight Studios' new co-op adventure is nearly here. With a March 6 release date, you've probably been wondering what sort of PC hardware you would need to run this game on your personal home computer entertainment system.

Thankfully, the system requirements are extremely reasonable. The CPU minimum requirements include either the Intel i5 6600K or the AMD Ryzen 5 2600K. The minimum GPU requirements are just as forgiving, with players needing either an Nvidia GeForce RTX 970 or AMD Radeon RX 470. This will let you play at low, at 1080p, and with a target framerate of 30fps.

If you're looking for something a bit higher res and with higher graphical settings, you still won't need the latest hardware. For example, an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X and GeForce RTX 3070 will let you play at 1440p and 60fps on high settings.

Hazelight says that they've "worked tirelessly to ensure the game will be optimized on launch." They are using Unreal Engine 5 for Split Fiction, so it will be interesting to see if the typical Unreal Engine stutters are present.

Those who own and play on a Steam Deck will be happy to hear that Split Fiction is Steam Deck Verified. This means that the game should run on the Deck without issue when it launches on March 6th.

Don't forget that Split Fiction will make use of the Friend's Pass system. This will allow for two friends to play together with just one purchase of the game. With the game priced at $50, that's $25 per person if you do decide to split the cost with a buddy.
