  • Katamari Damacy Creator is Making a New Game Based on a Bug

    T-pose for dominance.
Back view of a teen in a T-pose. They're standing next to a dog. They are both looking towards an ocean that extends to the horizon.

The creator of Katamari Damacy, Keita Takahashi, is back at it with another wild and very unique idea for a video game. To a T is a game where you play as a teen, named Teen, stuck in the all-too familiar T-pose. You all know what that is. It's the default position that video game characters sometimes glitch into when an animation is missing or broken. It's just a model, standing straight up and with their arms out to the side. They resemble the letter "T" and thus they are in the T-pose.

Only Takahashi could think to make up an entire video game based solely on the idea of the T-pose, but that's precisely what To a T is.

To a T was actually announced a couple of years back, but we haven't heard nor seen much of it until now. A new trailer shows off some of the wild gameplay as well as a release date announcement of May 28th. To a T is coming to PC via Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. It will also be made available on Game Pass.

The song in the trailer is unironically a banger.

Play as a teenager (Teen), with a unique posture just trying to live a normal life in a small coastal town. Explore the town along with the help of Teen’s loyal dog and loving mother. While going to school and contending with bullies, Teen discovers a new ability granted to them by their extraordinary posture, and they start to uncover more about their mysterious lineage.
