Wargaming, the company behind all of those "World of" games like World of Tanks revealed their next title at The Game Awards. Wargaming is moving away from their real-world war machines and are taking on the world of mech combat.
Steel Hunters is Wargaming's upcoming PvPvE mech combat game. Like their World of titles, Steel Hunters is going to be free-to-play once the full release happens. It will blend elements of Battle Royale with Extraction shooters, just with mechs.
Those wanting to play the game ahead of launch can do so right this second by signing up for the ongoing 10-day long closed playtest. An actual release date for the game was not yet shared, however we do know that it will be released through Steam if you're interested.
At the very least, the fact that Steel Hunters is firmly in the realm of fiction means that the risk of classified information being shared online is extremely low.
