OtherSide Entertainment and Megabit announced a new title at The Game Awards. Thick as Thieves is an immersive stealth-action multiplayer game that is currently aiming for a 2026 release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
OtherSide Entertainment is a game studio made up of various gaming veterans. The studio is led by Warren Spector, Greg LoPiccolo, and Paul Neurath. The members of the team have rather extensive backgrounds, having worked on franchises such as System Shock, Thief, Deus Ex, and Ultima to name just a few.
Thick as Thieves takes players to an unspecified 1910s metropolis "where technology clashes with magic." You are put into a world full of various valuable items, plenty of criminals, and even a bit of magic. "As the upper class amasses wealth and power while the lower class struggles to survive, you weave your way through both worlds, pursuing treasure and glory with stealth and cunning."
The game blends together multiplayer with sneaky infiltration, theft, and escape sequences. The play world changes with each heist, presumably by some measure of procedural generation.
With how far out the game is, it may be a while before we see more of this one.
