Tricky Madness just released into Steam Early Access today from solo indie developer Nathan Dearth. Those of you who grew up playing the SSX titles will either want to pick this one up immediately or at least keep a close eye on how this game progresses through Early Access.
The game seemingly blends together elements of classic snowboarding titles such as the SSX franchise and even 1080 Snowboarding. Tricky Madness is said to be "perfect for both newcomers and returning snowboard enthusiasts alike." The game "celebrates what made the original series iconic and brings back a modern retake to audiences with a polished familiar trick input system, modern graphics, and system accessibility."
Tricky Madness will let players pull all sorts of high flying tricks as they race down the handcrafted slopes. There are different characters, each with their own personality and snowboarding tricks. The game features a campaign mode, multiplayer, and individual events. Naturally there are different events such as scoring the most points in the least amount of time, a Half-Pipe Mode, and more. There is also apparently a map creator.
Tricky Madness is just $7.99 on Steam.
