Maximum Entertainment, along with Gameloft and HarperCollins Productions, just released The Oregon Trail Deluxe Physical Edition on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.
The new release offers up some additional content not seen in the initial release. That initial release having happened in November 2022 and not in 1985 as we had all assumed. The Deluxe Edition includes the Cowboys and Critters DLC and a few other platform specific bonuses.
I can find no links to retailers for this physical release, so you'll just have to venture forth on your own to find the physical release if you want it. Just be weary of any rivers.
