The Revolution 5 Pro controller from NACON has been available since November 2023. The company says that thanks to "thousands of units already sold," the Revolution 5 has "become the most successful NACON accessory launched to date."
Not content with releasing an already feature-filled controller with Hall effect sticks, NACON added yet another feature via an update this week. The controller's customization software was just updated with the "Shooter Pro Mode." This new feature will completely remove the deadzone of the sticks, which should improve responsiveness and precision. Theoretically, it should also improve your performance in FPS games. I'm talking about your K/D performance here and not your framerate.
This adds to the controller's existing features, which give users a vital edge in games:
- Sensitivity + mode: for faster reaction times in a variety of in-game situations by increasing the stick amplitude
- Magnetic Hall effect on the sticks: for maximum controller durability and highly reduced risk of drift
- Ultra-fast wireless connectivity + wired mode: includes a 2.4 GHz USB dongle, prevents lag, and provides PS5®/PS4/PC compatibility
Steps to update to the latest version:
- Set the wireless/wired button on the controller to wired mode
- Set the platform selection button to PS5 or PS4
- Select A for Advanced on the back of the controller
- Connect the controller to your PC via the included USB-C cable
- Launch the Revolution 5 Pro app and select "Update" to install the latest version.
