A new in-game event also just kicked off.
Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition was announced today. it features all updates and content released over the past two years, including the Bloody Ties DLC, new Firearm update, and more. Those that already own the game will get a free upgrade, while those that don't yet own the game can try out Dying Light 2 for free from February 22 through February 26.
All of this comes as Dying Light 2 kicks off its second anniversary. Techland has released roughly a dozen updates that have made some rather big improvements to the gameplay experience since its initial release.
Today, the Firearms Update is claimed by Techland to be the biggest content update for the game so far. As you can probably guess from its name, this update adds in weapons that go pew-pew. Techland says that the firearms are "an enhancement rather than a complete change of genre" for Dying Light 2.
Other notable additions in this update include new co-op survivor missions, board quests, and visual enhancements. There are even some returning characters from the first Dying Light game showing up here.
In addition to the free Steam weekend for the game, Dying Light 2 will be on sale for 50% off on both PC and consoles for a limited time. The Second Anniversary event runs from today through to March 7 at 3AM PT.
