Punching Nazis? Solving ancient puzzles? Yep, it's Indiana Jones.
We finally got ourselves a good, long look at the new Indiana Jones game that MachineGames and Bethesda Softworks have been working on for a while now. Called Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, this (mostly) first-person action-adventure title will take Indy all over the world in a story that takes place between Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade.
Of the many big reveals, we learn that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is expected to be out later in 2024 for Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Game Pass.
Reconfirming what we already knew, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is being executive produced by Bethesda's Todd Howard. This original story takes players to the year 1937 as "sinister forces" are searching for an ancient power. As Indiana Jones, you will have to master his iconic whip, solve plenty of puzzles, punch the hell out of Nazis (as one should), uncover even more mysteries, and go on "an epic, globetrotting adventure".
Though the gameplay seems to be in first-person, the in-game cutscenes will be in third-person. That's kind of what MachineGames does in their titles, so this really isn't anything unusual for them. Troy Baker has also been confirmed to voice Indiana Jones in this release. I believe for the first time ever, I did not realize it was Troy Baker's voice when first viewing the trailer. His impersonation of Harrison Ford's Indiana Jones voice and cadence were incredibly well done.

Then I go and read comments from people complaining that it's not 100% third person. Some are legit complaints (can't play FPS due to motion sickness) but others are just whining.
Then more comments about Troy Baker voicing Indy even though I legit didn't recognize that it was him until after the fact? I thought he did a really good Indy/Harrison Ford impression. It wasn't his usual voice that is almost instantly recognizable in every other game he's in.
People just out here complaining.
