  • The Finals Surpasses 10 Million Players

That's a whole lot of destruction.

Embark Studios just launched their free-to-play team-based shooter on December 7th and already the game has pulled in more than 10 million players. The Finals had a surprise release during The Game Awards on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.

Executive producer on The Finals at Embark, Rob Runesson, offered a big thanks to players and fans for this rather lofty milestone. Runesson says that the team is "so humbled and excited by the response from the community so far." He goes on to say that the team "will continue to improve and add to the experience, and make sure we keep surprising our community for years to come."

Those 10 million players can also get some special holiday themed items right now. All you have to do is launch the game and claim the free cosmetic items from the in-game store. There are also some Twitch drops that can score you a few additional cosmetic items. The Twitch Drops campaign is live only until January 3, 2024.

The little holiday event also adds some snow to Monaco, complete with presents and ornaments that you can throw at enemies (or buildings).
