Devolver Digital made the decision to release Wizard with a Gun a full day ahead of schedule on PC. This was all done to avoid releasing on the same day as another game about "mowing down hordes of monsters with magic in a dark fantasy world." That other game? Diablo 4.
I'm not entirely sure that Wizard with a Gun necessarily has much to worry about here, but I suppose it still is entirely possible that the Steam release of Diablo 4 will be bigger than I expect it to be.
Wizard with a Gun was going to be out on PC on October 17 but it's actually coming out today. In fact, it's probably out right now. This only applies to the PC release. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S release will still be out on the 17th. If you are one of those PC players, you can pick up Wizard with a Gun for $24.99 (USD).
