Plus, a new piece of concept art has been shown off.

Co-president of Naughty Dog, Neil Druckmann, posted a new blog post from the company that shares a new piece of concept art from The Last of Us multiplayer game that they are working on. Druckmann did share a couple of smaller pieces of information alongside the new art but promised that far more information will be coming later in 2023.

Druckmann did say that even though this will be a mulitplayer focused title, it will still include story elements and character depth that the studio has been known for. Druckmann is also calling this project "ambitious."

We’re looking ahead to The Last of Us’ 10th anniversary in June, and we’re so excited to share more with you about the future of this franchise. We’ll have some fun surprises for you along the way, but later this year we will begin to offer you some details on our ambitious The Last of Us multiplayer game. With a team led by Vinit Agarwal, Joe Pettinati, and Anthony Newman, the project is shaping up to be a fresh, new experience from our studio, but one rooted in Naughty Dog’s passion for delivering incredible stories, characters, and gameplay.
The art shared today clearly looks like something that would be right at home with the previous games. There really aren't any surprises there.

For those needing more of The Last of Us before this multiplayer game is released, you are obviously still in luck. The Last of Us series on HBO makes its debut on January 15. During the show's first season, Naughty Dog will offer behind-the-scenes looks at the development of The Last of Us and Part 1. They will also have some exclusive interviews that they will share.
