  • Wild Hearts is a New Hunting Game from EA and Koei Tecmo

You will be hunting some very big game.
    Wild Hearts

We finally have some more details on that "hunting game" that EA and Koei Tecmo pre-announced earlier this month. Wild Hearts is being billed as "the first AAA hunting experience for a new generation." It's apparently rather far along in development already as the release date is set for February 17, 2023 and will be out on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and on PC through Origin, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.

EA will be publishing this one under their EA Originals label and development is being handled by Omega Force, a division of Koei Tecmo that develops the Warriors games. You know, games like Dynasty Warriors, Hyrule Warriors, Fire Emblem Warriors, and so on.

Wild Hearts will take players to a fantasy version of feudal Japan. It is here where they will battle against "giant nature-infused beasts called Kemono with the help of Karakuri, sophisticated mechanisms crafted from a lost, ancient technology." You probably wouldn't be too far off in thinking that this is EA and Koei Tecmo attempting to take some of the thunder away from the Monster Hunter games.

WILD HEARTStakes place in Azuma, a fantasy landscape inspired by feudal Japan, that is now rampaged by the once peaceful Kemono - altering their environment at the cost of citizens’ lives. The Kemono range from plant-infused squirrels to the massive Kingtusk wild boar. After a dreadful fight with the winter wolf Deathstalker, players become bearers of a life-sustaining technology and are compelled to restore balance across the region.
You will be able to play this one alone or with two additional friends in co-op. Crossplay support is also included for all platforms. Supported voice overs at launch include English, Japanese, French, Italian, German, and Spanish.

While there is a reveal trailer for this one, see below, there will be an extended gameplay reveal on October 5.

After Three Years, Square Enix Finally Remembered Kingdom Hearts Wasn't on Steam Yet
      by Shawn Zipay
Wow, Square really is serious about ditching platform exclusives.

The PC release of the Kingdom Hearts games happened way back in 2021. However, the PC release then did come with a catch and that catch was that it was exclusive to the Epic Games Store. Like many games that have come before and after it, many believed that it would be an Epic Games Store exclusive for a year at most.

That year turned to two, then two years became three years. Finally, after over a three-year...
