Now you can be even more of a ninja while wearing an anime ninja skin.
Fortnite Phantasm weapons

The V21.50 update for Fortnite released early this morning. The update included just a few fixes along with the return of some older items that were vaulted. The returning items will go a long way to really driving home that dream of being a ninja.

The returning items are set to play a role in the upcoming "Shadow of Phantasm Week." The weapons include a Suppressed Assault Rifle, Suppressed SMG, Shadow Bomb, and Shield Bubble. Epic freely admits that the Shield Bubble isn't exactly stealthy but they say, "it's a futuristic fit for a futuristic samurai." Players will be able to complete special quests for XP during this Shadow of Phantasm Week.

The weapons are found on the ground and in chests. The items are found on the ground, chests, and in supply drops.

Shadow of Phantasm Week ends September 7, 2022 at 9AM (ET).

If you missed out on the Dragon Ball quests, too bad. Those are done and over with. However, Epic says that they are going to keep dropping the Capsule Corp deliveries, just in lower drop rates. This means you will still be able to wield the Kamehameha and Nimbus Cloud.

Update 21.50 also vaulted the Impostors game mode. Some prefabs and props from that mode are now available in Creative though.

COMPETITIVE NOTES

  • Late Game Arena starts later today. Read more in our Late Game Arena blog post.
  • Zero Build Arena has been turned off.

MAJOR BUG FIXES
  • Fixed an issue in which the Health and Shield bars would not correspond with the actual value remaining after taking damage.
  • Fixed an issue in which the Kamehameha would refill to three full charges when dropped by an eliminated player.
  • The "Dedicated Button" fire mode option on mobile is now working correctly. Unchecking the option will now automatically hide the dedicated fire button in-game if the context allows it.
    • If the equipped weapon/item doesn't support the currently selected fire mode (for example: a melee weapon can’t autofire), the dedicated fire button will still be displayed.
