Electronic Arts and Marvel just announced a collaboration that will see "a new cast" joining FIFA Ultimate Team in FIFA 23. The new cast of FIFA Ultimate Team Heroes will see a number of players that are "reimagined and inspired by Marvel Comics."

Specifically, this collaboration will "bring some of the game's fan favorites to the game and celebrate their larger-than-life cult hero status alongside the amazing artists at Marvel." Iconic players with memorable careers will get a special illustrated FIFA Ultimate Team when the World Cup game mode launches. Base versions of the FUT Heroes will be available at launch of the game.

EA says that anybody that pre-orders EA Sports FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition by August 21 will also get a limited time FIFA World Cup Hero Item in addition to the other extras.

EA provided literally no visual examples of what these special cards might look like. For now, just use your imagination. Picture the Hulk scoring a goal against Iron Man or something.
