A show so underwhelming, no single announcement is worthy of its own post.

If you missed out on the first-ever Disney and Marvel Games Showcase at D23 2022, you really didn't miss much of anything. I mean it. That show was boring. We were given some updated looks at already announced games, some mobile stuff, a new visual novel Tron game, and some early mockups for a game that is so far away from being released it doesn't even have a title yet.

Let's start things off with...

Electronic Arts and Marvel just announced a collaboration that will see "a new cast" joining FIFA Ultimate Team in FIFA 23. The new cast of FIFA Ultimate Team Heroes will see a number of players that are "reimagined and inspired by Marvel Comics."

Specifically, this collaboration will "bring some of the game's fan favorites to the game and celebrate their larger-than-life cult hero status alongside the amazing artists at Marvel."...

Game development is hard and complex.

Take-Two Interactive announced today that the upcoming Marvel strategy game from Firaxis, Marvel's Midnight Suns, has been delayed. The game has been pushed to a release window in the second half of 2022.

This delay isn't a huge one as the game was originally slated to be released in March 2022, but it is is a delay nonetheless. The new date pushes the release anywhere from July 2022 to the end of the year 2022. A press release suggests...

Eidos-Montreal and Square Enix announce that Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is now available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and through GeForce Now. In addition, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: Cloud Version is also available for the Nintendo Switch in select regions.

Square Enix had a big media showing yesterday during their E3 slot that was dedicated to the new Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy game that Eidos has been working on. This is a third-person narrative action-adventure game that "combines original storytelling with electrifying single-player gameplay."

A Halloween themed update is starting to roll out today for MARVEL Strike Force. This update adds in some spooky new characters and some new supernatural abilities.

Apparently this update will be rolling out in stages. Over the next couple of weeks you will see new characters like Ghost Rider and Elsa Bloodstone added to the game. In addition, some new supernatural abilities will be added to some existing characters....

Become the man of iron in early 2020.

Marvel and developer Camouflaj, just announced a new PlayStation VR exclusive title today. It's none other than Marvel's Iron Man VR and you may safely guess, it allows you to virtually become Iron Man! This release will hit PlayStation VR on February 28, 2020.

In a new PlayStation Blog entry, Camouflaj reveals that they will try to blend together high-flying VR action with a "heartfelt, original story about Tony Stark."...

Footage shows off some of the game's first level.

Square Enix and Marvel just showed off some new gameplay for Marvel's Avengers this week at Gamescom. You'll get a taste of the game's opening level where you will see Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor battling Taskmaster. This opening level is very much a tutorial area where you get a little taste of the unique powers of the Avengers.

A new collection of LEGO games was announced today by WBIE, TT Games, The LEGO Group, and Marvel Entertainment. If you hadn't just read the title, you may be surprised to hear that the LEGO Marvel Collection is coming March 12, 2019 for the PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

I have been informed that Marvel Strike Force was updated recently with "bestial Super Villain Sabretooth and mega mutant Juggernaut." It also includes the "shape-shifting Mystique." These three have been added to the mobile game. Another update that includes Pyro and Magneto is coming later this month.

Last week, news started to spread that the developer of Marvel Heroes, Gazillion, would be closing up shop and shutting down their once popular action-RPG title, Marvel Heroes. The initial plan was to let the team and the game continue on until the end of 2017.

It seems those plans have abruptly changed. Multiple sources have said that Gazillion was shut down today, on the eve of Thanksgiving. Marvel Heroes itself will now come to a rapid and unceremonious conclusion on Friday....
