A whole new era of slow-motion ball shots is almost here.

Rebellion confirmed earlier that Sniper Elite 5 is slated to be released on May 26, 2022. Today's special release date announcement comes alongside a new trailer, which can (maybe) be found embedded below if YouTube isn't stupid about age restrictions.

Those that pre-order Sniper Elite 5 will get a bonus mission available to them when the game releases. That mission is called "Wolf Mountain" and will presumably see you blasting the nuts off of Nazis, if I were to take a guess.

There is also a deluxe edition of the game that will include the pre-order bonus along with a season pass. This season pass content includes a "two-part campaign on extensive maps." Players will be able to utilize an "expanded armory of authentic World War II weapons and customize their sniper with new character packs and weapon skins."

The full list of additional content in the deluxe release includes the following:

• Two Campaign Missions
• Two Weapon skin packs
• Two Character Packs
• Six Weapon Packs

You will play as Karl Fairburne who is on a mission to disrupt and destroy a Nazi effort called Project Kraken that could turn the war in their favor. Sniper Elite 5 will be out on May 26 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be able to play this game on day one.
