The game just continues to grow in numbers.
FromSoftware's latest release, Elden Ring, just continues to grow in popularity. In its second week of availability, Elden Ring has overtaken New World to become the sixth largest title on Steam for concurrent player counts.
This news hits just a week after Elden Ring hit the number seven spot with over 891,000 concurrent players. This placed it just behind New World but well ahead of Valheim. This past weekend, Elden Ring saw a concurrent player peak of 953,426.
This new high pushed it a considerable amount ahead of New World's record of 913,634 concurrent players. Elden Ring now sits as the sixth most concurrently played title on Steam. Ahead of it in fifth place is Cyberpunk 2077 with 1,054,388 concurrent players.
Could we see Elden Ring overtake that figure next weekend? At this point, it's entirely possible. Last week I said it probably wasn't likely, but I was obviously completely wrong.
