Despite the best efforts of the PC performance woes and stutters, the Steam release of Elden Ring just continues to grow in popularity. According to the stats tracked by SteamDB, Elden Ring has surpassed its peak concurrent play count every day since its release.

On release day (February 25), over 764,000 people were on Steam playing Elden Ring at once. The following day there were over 861,000 people playing. The next day on the 27th, that number grew to 891,638 concurrent players.

This places Elden Ring at seventh on the all-time top concurrent player list for Steam. The game sits just behind the sixth-place spot occupied by New World, which saw a peak of 913,634 players.

While it is possible that this number could go even higher for Elden Ring, I probably wouldn't hold my breath. The weekdays usually don't lend themselves to new records when it comes to people using Steam and playing games.
