A release window has been provided for Forest Grove, the upcoming sci-fi mystery puzzler from Miga Games. Those of you who like to solve puzzles and mysteries on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam will want to keep an eye on this one as its planned Q3 2022 release nears.
Players assume the role of the Remote Forensic Bureau (RFB) who have been called in to investigate the disappearance of Mary Kunstimatigaard's teenage step-daughter. Why yes, that is a rather intense last name there, you're right.
Players will use "revolutionary nano-technology" to analyze the crime scene in a virtual space in their search for answers. This isn't a VR title, but rather you will search for clues in a "Nanodeck recreation of the Kunstimatigaard's beautiful Victorian estate." Evidence can be discovered after solving various puzzles around the home. Puzzles may also lead to secrets and hidden rooms. Biotraces will let players hear audio and see visual echoes of what transpired.
Evidence can be placed upon a clue board to make connections, filter out persons of interest, and ultimate crack the case. The overall story is broken up into smaller investigation sessions. Players are given a rank based on their performance after each investigation.
