During last week's new Nintendo Direct, PlatinumGames showed off the first new trailer for Bayonetta 3 in years. The game was originally announced back in 2017 and ever since then there really hasn't been much of a peep about it. It seems that in all this time, PlatinumGames has been quietly working on the long-awaited sequel to the much loved action series.

The new trailer actually showed off the first ever look at gameplay footage. You get a look at the new look, and voice, of Bayonetta, along with a look at her new mechanics. In Bayonetta 3, she has the ability to directly control demons as they battle other, multi-story tall evil demons.

Bayonetta 3 is slated to arrive on the Nintendo Switch in 2022. More information will be coming "at a later date."
