During the latest Nintendo Direct, Nintendo announced a brand-spanking-new 3D Kirby game. It's called Kirby and the Forgotten Land and it will be released on the Nintendo Switch at some point during Spring 2022.
Kirby still has the ability to absorb and use other abilities from foes and powerups. He can also jump around and do plenty of platforming. So yeah, it's like the 2D Kirby games but with an added dimension. This isn't rocket science here.
