CD Projekt Red has officially decided to delay the release of Patch 1.2 for Cyberpunk 2077. The reason? CD Projekt Red says that the recent hacking is to blame for this. This hacking saw the source code stolen for several of their titles along with multiple sensitive company documents. Their servers were also hit with an encryption attack.

CD Projekt Red says that they "need some additional time" because "the recent cyber attack on the studio's IT infrastructure and extensive scope of the update means (the update) will not happen." The Patch 1.2 was originally supposed to be released in February. The ransomware attack combined with the size and scope of this update has pushed Patch 1.2 out to the second half of March.
