Good news to everyone that raged far and wide this weekend. Mark your calendars, because this is one of the few times where Gamer Rage™️ has actually managed to change something for the better.
PlayStation just announced that they are reversing course on the PlayStation Network (PSN) account requirement for Helldivers 2 on PC. This means that you will not have to tie your game to a PSN account and you can just keep on playing as you were doing already. Huzzah and all that.
Unfortunately, Helldivers 2 has not yet been added back to the Steam store in the regions where the game was delisted over the weekend. It's not exactly clear if it will be added back to Steam in those 170-some locations, but it's also 2:30AM (ET) Monday morning and that may change by the time a lot of places wake up today.
Helldivers fans -- we’ve heard your feedback on the Helldivers 2 account linking update. The May 6 update, which would have required Steam and PlayStation Network account linking for new players and for current players beginning May 30, will not be moving forward.
We’re still learning what is best for PC players and your feedback has been invaluable. Thanks again for your continued support of Helldivers 2 and we’ll keep you updated on future plans.

But hey, the "feedback" that was offered in spades somehow worked and the PSN requirement is no more for Helldivers 2. Now we wait to see how many people change those negative reviews on Steam (most probably won't). We also now wait to see if Sony gets the last laugh by finally announcing Bloodborne PC, but it's announced as a permanent exclusive to Sony's PC launcher that they are maybe/probably/totally planning on making one day. Could you imagine?
