Star Wars Battlefront 2004

It has been one very interesting week for Star Wars Battlefront fans. First, we learned that DICE will no longer have any new content releases for Star Wars Battlefront II. Both it and Battlefield V are no longer going to receive new content updates from DICE as they move on to working on new projects like a new Battlefield game for 2021.

Today, there was a bit of good news for fans of Battlefront. Specifically, I'm talking about fans of the original Star Wars Battlefront. The Battlefront from 2004 that you can purchase and play right now on Steam for just $5 (currently 50% off). That good news is the fact that this 16 year old game was updated today to include online multiplayer.

Yes, the original game now has official support for online multiplayer. Some people probably won't care, but I know that a lot of fans of the original two Battlefront titles did prefer this one when compared to Star Wars Battlefront 2. Today's update also includes some fixes for issues as a result of different screen sizes. The full changelog is below.
