Go back to where it all began.
Bloober Team, the studio behind the Layers of Fear horror titles and Observer, have just released Blair Witch today on the PC and Xbox One. You can pick it up either on Steam, from the Xbox Games Store, or download it through the Xbox Game Pass.
Though it shares the name with The Blair Witch Project from 1999, this is an original story based off of that franchise. The story is set in 1996 after a young boy disappears in the Black Hills Forest near Burkittsville, Maryland. You play as Ellis, a former police officer with a troubled past. At your side is your dog, Bullet. Sure, things are pretty normal at first, but you will soon discover the various horrors that the woods are hiding. Ellis will need to confront his fears, his past, and the other dangers that lurk behind the trees.
According to Bloober Team, there are various paths through the game, and additional playthroughs will, presumably, offer a different experience.
Blair Witch Deluxe Edition is available for $34.99 (USD) only through Steam. This comes with "The Art of Blair Witch." The non-deluxe version of Blair Witch is just $29.99 for your platform of choice.
