Bloober Team and Lionsgate just announced a VR version of their recent-ish Blair Witch horror game. On October 29, you will be able to experience Blair Witch: Oculus Quest Edition, a VR offering of the team's latest horror title. It will be available for purchase for just $29.99 from the Oculus Store. I say the game is "recent-ish" because while it may be Bloober Team's latest release, it did still come out about a year ago in non-VR form.
Bloober says that this release has been "built specifically for VR." Just as before, Blair Witch: Oculus Quest Edition is a psychological horror game set in the same cinematic lore of the Blair Witch franchise.
Blair Witch: Oculus Quest Edition is said to be coming to "additional VR platforms in the coming months." I assume then that it won't be called "Oculus Quest Edition" if it's coming to other platforms later.
The Blair Witch story has been rebuilt for the Oculus Quest platform to offer a uniquely immersive and horrifying VR experience. With environments redesigned for more interactivity and accommodate new creature encounters. In addition, there is a new control system and mechanics for your canine companion, Bullet – give him a treat right out of your hand, pet him at any time, and even play fetch! Players can enjoy a 360 immersive experience in the Black Hills Forest.
