The Horus Heresy: Betrayal at Calth is a new turn-based VR game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. It should be noted that you do not need a VR system to play the game. A desktop will work just fine. Of course there is a catch. That catch is that the game is out only in Steam Early Access right now.

The Early Access release includes the first of five planned campaign chapters. The single player mode includes a "five-map narrative where players control units of Space Marine Legionaries and guide them through the underground arcologies of Calth." On the flip side, PvP includes four maps and two play modes (Deathmatch and Objective Based). Updates will be rolled out throughout Early Access that will include new chapters, maps, weapons, abilities, and units. Right now only the Ultramarines and Word Bearers are included.

The Horus Heresy: Betrayal at Calth launches with a limited-time price discount of $24.99, a special 17% launch discount from the regular $29.99 price. All players will have the option to play either in stand-up VR systems or on gaming PCs. Supported systems at launch are HTC Vive and Oculus Touch.
