  • Far Cry 5 Antagonist Reveal is Pissing Off Racist Rednecks

    Earlier today, Ubisoft revealed the first piece of keyart for Far Cry 5. It features a redneck looking family gathered around the table in a scene similar to da Vinci's Last Supper. The crew is full of beards, guns, knives, and plenty of religious overtones. The table is covered with a take on the American flag that seems to feature Iron Crosses instead of the typical stars.

    The reveal seems to be pissing off a lot of of white, intolerant, Christian Americans (via Twitter and Ubisoft forums).

    If you add in some "MAGA" hats to these characters, you might have one of the most on the nose Far Cry game ever released. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that the main protagonist isn't another generic white male in order to really drive the point home.

        I hope this doesn't sway Ubi's direction, firstly because it would be seen as bending to the will of these people, but also because it's just a fresh take on video game enemies, i don't care who the bad guys are they could even be good guys, as long as they're interesting, video games are after all fiction.
        I'm excited about that prop plane dog fight happening in the background.
