A number of outlets that are previewing the Nintendo Switch have made comments indicating that they are encountering a lot of issues with one or both of their Joy-Cons becoming desynced from the console.

These reports come from Polygon, Digital Chumps, What's Up Games:

And Jason Schreier from Kotaku:

What we don't know right now is if this is going to be a wide spread issue come launch day on March 3. We also do not know with 100% certainty if this is a hardware issue or an issue that can be resolved with a software/firmware update. However, YouTube user Blunty put together a video that offers up a potential explanation as to why this desync is happening.

He says that the low power Bluetooth used in the Switch can be easily blocked by your hands or even by holding the controllers behind your back. If Nintendo has a way to up the signal power to fix this, it will mean a reduced battery life for the Switch. We'll have to see how Nintendo decides to address this.
